SESAR Open Day – about innovations in Gdańsk
On November 13-14th, representatives of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency together with partners met in Gdansk for the SESAR Open Day. This is a cyclical event during which the entities involved in SESAR (the technological pillar of the Single European Sky initiative) research and development projects present the level of progress of ongoing works. During the meeting, the project PJ.02-06 was approved, aimed at increasing the level of safety on runways at secondary airports in low visibility conditions.

PANSA launched WebCAT interface for airspace structures
The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) launched WebCAT, a graphic and text interface presenting the current-updated and planned status of airspace structures in Poland, based on PANSA’s Common Airspace Tool (CAT) system. WebCAT interface is accessible from a web browser and integrated with PANSA’s PANDORA aeronautical Information Display System (IDS) for operational use.

PANSA trains 180 ATCOs and 80 FIS Officers on its UTM system
The Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) has finished the series of its UTM system TTT (Train-the-Trainer) trainings for Air Traffic Controllers and Flight Information Service Officers at 15 towers and 5 FIS sectors all over the country. 180 ATCOs and 80 FIS Officers will become professionally trained by their colleagues in order to use the commercially available PansaUTM system for UAVs traffic management. The trainings are a part of the PansaUTM certification process supervised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Poland.

The International Day of the Air Traffic Controller 2019 unique for PANSA
October 20th is the International Day of the Air Traffic Controller. It is a common holiday of air traffic controllers and different air navigation services providers from around the world. For the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency it is a unique edition this year, as we open a brand-new and the highest in Poland aerodrome control tower with cutting-edge technologies implemented inside. The project was co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund under the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme 2014-202.
